The Nandoo Bhende Band

Nandoo Bhende is one of the pioneers of Rock Music in India & one of India 's foremost English Rock stars. He came into the limelight with his spectacular performance of Judas in the Alyque Padamsee production of "Jesus Christ Superstar". He went on to perform in various musicals like  "Tommy", "The Fantastiks","Teen Paisacha Tamasha"," Jaya" etc.

Nandoo's had sung for various bands including "Velvette Fogg", "Savage Encounter", " Atomic Forest " before he embarked on his solo career. Having sung for numerous films like "Disco Dancer", he has also composed music for various TV serials, theatre productions and advertising jingles.

He also has many music albums to his credit including "Get Organized" (EMI), one of the few English albums released in India . He has represented India in the Festival of India in the Soviet Union, Muscat and Korea . In May 1998, Nandoo started his very own digital audio recording studio called "InSync Studios" at Juhu, Mumbai.

Nandoo's repertoire for shows is varied and versatile. It will feature Retro Rock and will include the Classic Rock hits of the Doors, Beatles, CCR etc. besides evergreen hits like "Night in White Satin". His show is interspersed with Red Hot Chilli peppers, the WHO and will also feature the R&B hits of Stevie Wonder besides other international artistes.

The Nandoo Bhende band includes the following members:

Sanju Aguiar (Lead Guitar): A virtuoso guitarist from an obscure part of Thane with a wide repertoire of styles under his belt; right from Blues to Progressive Music.

   Akshay Bhende (Rhythm Guitar): Talented singer in his own right, he also provides the backing for the band, with his rock solid rhythm, and keen sense of timing.    

 Ishaan Krishna (Bass): Has been playing bass for just about 2 years, and is already making waves in the rock circuit with his smooth style of playing. In addition to this, he also sings backup vocals for the band.

 Joshua Vaz (Drums & Percussion): The noisiest member of the band, endorsed by Pearl Drums. He has played all over India with well known Bollywood artists such as Shibani Kashyap, Taufeeq Qureshi etc.
